Ep 32 Imposter Syndrome in Entrepreneurship | with Kellee Maree and Kristin Bailey

Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart because it opens you up to really uncomfortable growth and with that comes plenty of opportunities for imposter syndrome to show up. Imposter syndrome has a great way of stopping you in your tracks. It tricks you into overthinking mode where you begin justifying all the reasons why you CAN’T do something or why you don’t belong. But if we shine a light on it, imposter syndrome is an indicator that you’re about to do something new, something different, something really freakin’ cool and probably challenging! So, rather than cowering to its fear, notice it, thank it for being there and remember that you’re embarking on a new YOU and pushing past your comfort zone.

In today’s episode, I speak openly and honestly with Launch to Livelihood alumni Kelle Marie and Kristin Bailey about all the times in which imposter syndrome has shown up for all of us. We each touch on how it affects each of us individually and what we’ve done to overcome it.

We touch on:

  • Imposter syndrome as a direct reflection of your self-worth
  • Self-counseling ourselves through imposter syndrome
  • The struggles that Enneagram 6's have
  • Comparison as the thief of joy
  • How boundaries play an important role in squashing imposter syndrome
  • The value in knowing how imposter syndrome shows up for you so you can catch it when it’s happening
  • The importance of having a community that lifts you up

Come be vulnerable with us. We promise you’re not alone if you feel alone in the idea that you’re not good enough, don’t know enough etc. etc. It’s time to squash that self-doubt!
